Josep & Ramon Moscardó
Josep and Ramon Moscardó have been exhibiting at Sala Paré since 1982. Their work is committed to harmony and optimism, and they do so in a casual and direct way. They portray a peaceful life, close and recognisable, with the traffic of cars and people strolling along some of the main avenues and squares of Barcelona, Prague or Paris, the Mediterranean light of the beaches of Cadaqués or the happy bustle of the interior of bars with live music. Their compositions are luminous, with a lively and suggestive palette; each painting responds to a specific chromatic arrangement which they develop in an infinite number of variations. They are able to synthesise the elements freely and spontaneously.
They do not attempt to describe reality in detail, but with great artistic maturity they populate their scenes with a multitude of elements that help us to immerse ourselves in each painting and lose ourselves in its details. The characters that inhabit them are anonymous, but at the same time close to us. They allow the spectator to put a face to these actors.
