ARXIPÈLAG HUMÀ

More information about
Beauty, poetry and critical thought are the three axes that form the backbone of Eva Miquel’s work.
The drawing of photographic references and a polyhedral transformation into different languages and exhibition forms are the paths that lead us as spectators towards disturbing and dreamlike landscapes in which we find ourselves irremediably immersed.
A multitude of people on the horizon who we don’t know what they are doing, either fleeing in an exodus -contemplating nothingness or their own beauty- or floating on an undefined background or inhospitable and dark seas where drifting souls wander. These scenes are a reflection of our contemporaneity.
Beyond the drawing and the black and white landscapes, these almost photographic representations provoke a pinch in our conscience about what we do not want to talk about, either because it causes us pain, fear or uneasiness as human beings.
A humanist message questions us and invites us to reflect on our own essence.
